Cinderella Was a Lady

Ever since I was a kid I have been in awe of Cinderella.  She got to live happily ever after, and it took a lot of grace for her to not throw that into her stepsisters' faces.  I, however, prefer to let people know when they are on the bad end of karma. If it were me I would have said "Take that, bitches!!!"

Sometimes I Make Myself Chuckle

I was driving home from my sister's house today and decided to take the back way--back roads with lots of farms and not a lot of traffic are my preference. Anyway, I saw some haybales and shouted out "Hay!" which sounds like "Hey!"I love doing that, especially when there are others in the car with me. Garrett always laughs because he's in on the joke. Once every few months I get Mark with it though and it makes me laugh and laugh and laugh because I'll shout it out and he goes "What? What's wrong?" Then I'll start laughing. He doesn't find it as humorous as I do which makes it all the more funny for me!

Grab A Pen And Some Paper...

...and write this down: Kelly Poulin missed a day of work.
Man, this bum leg really blows! I NEVER miss work. I have to be hacking up a lung before I will call out. I haven't missed a day of work due to illness/injury in over 3 years. I thought I would be OK and would be able to just hang out at prescription drop-off all day(since that spot requires the least bending) but since my job is not a sit-down one I discovered that standing on this leg that I can't bend just isn't going to work. I went in to work for an hour and the other tech told me to go home. So I'm typing here with my leg propped up on the exersaucer hoping that it gets better by tomorrow. Now I'm having mom-guilt because I feel I should have picked up the boys first. I called Dawn--my SIL who watches my boys during the day-- and she told me to leave them with her and pick them up later. She's the best.

Vacation, All I Ever Wanted....

Yes, yes, yes!!!! I am on vacation next week and I can't wait! I really need it! Why is it that the last week before vacation is the week where you swear you'll crack? It's really been hard for me to bite my tongue and not say what I want to say back to people but I held back and let me tell ya, it has not been easy! I have lots of fun things to do with the fam next week which includes Lucas' first trip to the beach! Sand, waves, and maybe a lighthouse will be part of the fun. A museum trip is thrown in there for a rainy day(if there is one; if not, I won't be upset!) There will also be a day to veg or to get some stuff done around the house. We have to put our house back together after all the stuff is done to it but I'll save that gripe for another post. This post is about fun!

Mark and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary last Sunday(I know! I've been with the same guy that long and haven't tired of him yet!) with a trip to The Olive Garden with boys in tow. It would have been nice to go by ourselves but it would have been a pain in the butt to find a sitter and we thought it would just be easier to bring them. It was kinda last minute anyway since I said "Hey, it's our anniversary, wanna go out?" so Garrett chimes in with "Yeah, let's go to Denny's!" Sure kid, I'm going to celebrate our love over pancakes. I SO do not think so! (now pancakes the next morning is another story...) Of course Lucas had to charm all the waitresses with his cute babyness.

At this time tomorrow I will be singing "Vacation" by the Go-Go's and doing the vacation dance. Yes, there is a dance. Mark made it up years ago. Maybe I'll post a video, who knows. Catch ya later!
